3/8" x 5" Hex Lag Bolt, Stainless Steel
Hex Lag Bolts
Hex lag bolts, commonly called hex head lag screws, are hexagonal drive screws used for directly fastening into wood. When used in conjunction with a lag shield, lag bolts can also be used in masonry applications. The length of a lag screw is measured from the underside of the head to the pointed tip of the screw.
One flat or fender washer of the same size and finish is typically needed for use with each lag bolt (sold separately). Pilot holes are often used to ease the installation and reduce the splitting of lumber. Without a pilot hole, the heads of the screws will often break before the lag is properly installed.
Our inventory of hex lag bolts includes a variety of lengths and diameters, many of which are available in either stainless steel or hot dipped galvanized finish. If you don't see the size, grade, or finish you are looking for, please call us at 1.800.677.4710.
