Tie Rod HDG
Tieback Anchor Rods
Tieback anchor rods are hot dipped galvanized horizontal rods that are used to reinforce retaining walls and sea walls. One end of the rod gets secured to the wall and the other gets anchored to a stable structure, such as a concrete deadman, that is anchored beneath the ground with sufficient resistance. The tieback/deadman system resists forces, such as backfilled soils plus rainwater, that would otherwise cause the wall to lean. Always consult an engineer to be certain the tie rods you select are appropriately sized for your project.
Plate washers and hex nuts are typically needed for use with each tieback anchor rod (sold separately).
The threaded ends of our tieback rods are manufactured with rolled threads as opposed to cut threads. This process allows us to utilize a slightly smaller body diameter rods offering greater cost savings over cut thread rods.
Our inventory of galvanized steel tieback anchor rods includes a variety of common lengths and diameters. If you don't see the size you are looking for and need a custom size made (minimum order of 50+ pieces), please call us at 1.800.677.4710.
